This text was required for my nursing courses. I have seen other courses that just use a medication handbook, but our professor chose this book.The information seems to be correct overall, but does not emphasize well what is specifically important. No nurse will be able to memorize all of the medications, and I feel as though texts should emphasize what information is absolutely necessary (in practice and on the NCLEX),I would recommend it as a possible text for nursing pharmacology, since there are not many like this available.
I love that I can rent this book instead of buying it. I saved a ton of money and the book was in great condition. I will be doing this again next semester. I am so tired of wasting $$$ on textbooks I only use for four months! you can always buy anursing pharmacology pocket book for down the line!
RN to BSN programs are a sham and the ANA should be boycotted for their roll in requiring us to piss our money away on things that do not increase our skill set. However, product is exactly as described.
A lot of extra information you don’t need for class and if you don’t buy new you can’t access the answers to the practice questions in the book (you need the code that comes with the book new)
Nursing student and this was required text for the class, but it is easier to read and not so boring as some of the textbooks I have had to use. Easy to understand material and helps anyone be able to understand how drugs work on the body. A lot of this information is review from our Anatomy and Physiology classes, but still useful.
I returned the digital version of this book, it doesn't have page numbers, the index doesn't have links (or page numbers) of where terms are. Also I only used a phone to try to read the digital version, I'm not sure if it would have displayed differently on a tablet. I hadn't had any problems buying digital version of other books for my program so this one just seemed like a poorly created ebook. It wasn't possible to use in that state for my class.I wanted to own this book to read outside of my BSN program so I bought the physical copy instead. I would recommend staying with the physical edition.
